Zion National Park is one of the most beautiful climbing spots in the nation, which will make it a perfect spot for Team Sandstone Monkeys' Climb Up the World event. After Zion regulars Damian Martinez and Arturo Calvo became aware of AFCA's Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up events, the friends decided to take on a challenge consistent with the nature of the event.
The Big Lebowski is one of the biggest, longest and challenging free routes in Zion. Climbers enjoy it because almost every pitch is challenging and high quality. The route follows an obvious crack system that terminates on the large forested ledges under the left end of the plateau below the actual summit cap. Those that achieve the summit are treated to beautiful views of the surrounding Zion National Park.

Damian and Arturo welcome the test of The Big Lebowski and will be raising funds throughout the summer to benefit African children with AIDS. If you'd like to help, make a donation on behalf of their effort to climb this monster here: Team Sandstone Monkeys
